Sarah Cooksey, CPA - Senior Accountant
Sarah Cooksey joined the firm in October 2022. She specializes in financial statement reviews and compilations across a variety of industries including construction, transportation, oil and gas support services, and dealerships. She helps clients prepare for banking, bonding, and regulatory reporting requirements and advises business owners on developing consistent accounting policies to enhance financial statement reliability.
In addition to her assurance work, Sarah prepares business tax returns and, as a certified QuickBooks® ProAdvisor, provides clients with general accounting support, transactional workflow guidance, and bookkeeping system optimization. Her prior experience working in the construction industry—where she handled payroll and other accounting operations—gives her a practical, hands-on perspective that clients appreciate.
Originally from Georgia, Sarah has called Fairbanks home since 2011. She graduated from the University of Alaska Fairbanks in 2019 and is a member of both the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Alaska Society of Certified Public Accountants (AKCPA).
In her spare time, Sarah enjoys traveling, backpacking, floating, skiing, fishing, snow machining, and camping. Her two labradors are often along for the ride.
